About Kalo

A philosophy of
considered living.

The name

καλός

Beautiful · Noble · Good

Kalo takes its name from the Greek kalos. The meaning is used as a standard: beautiful in form, noble in intent and good in execution.

Our approach

Built around
the right places.

Kalo began through relationships with owners and local partners in Mykonos. What started with a small number of private homes developed naturally into a network of properties, people and destinations.

The collection remains deliberately limited. A home belongs within Kalo because of its setting, character and the experience it can offer — not simply because it is available.

How it grew

From homes we know.
To places we know.

Mykonos came first. Courchevel followed through the same approach: trusted relationships, a selective collection and local partners who understand the destination properly. St. Barths now extends that approach to the Caribbean.

Growth is intentionally measured. Kalo is not built around inventory. It is built around knowing where we send our clients, who we work with and how the stay is handled.

The distinction

The home is the product.
KALO is the standard.

Finding the right property is only the beginning. Kalo coordinates the details around the stay through trusted local partners and remains one point of contact throughout.

Private homes. Drivers. Yachts. Private aviation. Dining. Wellness. Local experiences. Quietly arranged.

Founder

Edouard Alvarez

Edouard founded Kalo around a simple idea: finding the right place should feel personal, and everything around the stay should feel effortless.

He remains closely involved in the homes Kalo selects, the relationships it builds with owners and local partners, and the way each client request is handled.

That founder-led approach remains central to Kalo: a limited collection, direct relationships and one point of contact from the first conversation onwards.

The principle

Remove friction
without removing
the human touch.

The interface disappears. The service remains.
One point of contact, from first request to departure.
